IMPORTANT SAFETY AND HANDLING INFORMATION

Read the following warnings before you or your child uses a SAM labs product. Failing to do so may cause injury. SAM Labs Products are not suitable for children in the under the age of 3.

 

SMALL PARTS

    • Your SAM Labs product has small parts and balls contained within them that may present a choking hazard to small children and pets. Keep your SAM Labs and accessories away from them
    • If your SAM Block is broken, gather the small parts and store in a safe place away from small children.

 

 

BATTERY WARNING

    • Your SAM Block contains a lithium battery which is hazardous and can cause serious injuries to persons or property if removed or improperly used or charged.
    • Lithium batteries can be lethal if ingested or can cause life-altering injuries. If you suspect a battery has been ingested, seek medical advice immediately.
    • In the event of battery leakage, avoid contact with the skin and eyes. In case of contact with the eyes, rinse with cold water and seek medical advice.
    • If your SAM Block is charging and you notice a suspicious smell or noise or observe smoke around the Block, disconnect it immediately and turn off all sources of heat or flame. Gas could be given off which could cause fire or an explosion.
    • You are solely liable for ensuring that the lithium battery is used correctly (charging, discharging, storage, etc.). The manufacturer and distributor shall have no liability for injury or damage to persons or property associated with lithium battery use.

 

 

GENERAL SAFETY AND STORAGE WARNINGS

    • Operating temperature – 0 to 30° C (32 to 90° F).
    • Exceeding operating temperature may increase the risk of fire.
    • Do not use your SAM Block if it has been broken and the battery is exposed to compromised in any way. Never touch or contact any liquid from the battery or cross wires from the battery to avoid burns, shocks or fire.
    • Do not attempt to dismantle, pierce, distort, or repair your SAM Block. Doing so may expose batteries or wiring.
    • Do not attempt to place any heavy objects on your SAM Blocks. Doing so may cause it to break and expose the batteries or wiring.
    • Do not attempt to clean your SAM Block with a solvent, denatures alcohol, or flammable liquids. Doing so may damage your SAM Block, make your Block inoperable, or cause a fire.
    • Do not immerse your SAM Block in water. Doing so may cause your Block to become inoperable.
    • Do not put your SAM block in the microwave oven or a pressurized container. Doing so may cause a fire or cause the batteries to explode.

 

 

CHARGING

    • Use the supplied USB cable to charge your SAM blocks under adult supervision.
    • Power source should be regularly examined for damage to the cord, plug, enclosure and other parts, and in the event of such damage, they must not be used until the damage has been repaired.
    • Do not charge near flammable materials or a flammable surface (wooden flooring, carpet, etc.) or conducting surfaces.
    • Do not leave your SAM Blocks unattended while charging.
    • Disconnect the USB cable when the Block is finished charging.
    • Never charge the device whilst it is hot.
    • Do not cover your SAM block while charging.
    • Recharge the battery at a temperature between 0 to 30° C (32 to 90° F)

 

 

FCC STATEMENT

The following Class B statements apply to all SAM Blocks

NOTE: This equipment has been tested and found to comply with the limits for a Class B digital device, pursuant to part 15 of the FCC Rules. These limits are designed to provide reasonable protection against harmful interference in a residential installation. This equipment generates, uses and can radiate radio frequency energy and, if not installed and used in accordance with the instructions, may cause harmful interference to radio communications. 

However, there is no guarantee that interference will not occur in a particular installation. If this equipment does cause harmful interference to radio or television reception, which can be determined by turning the equipment off and on, the user is encouraged to try to correct the interference by one or more of the following measures:

  • Reorient or relocate the receiving antenna. 
  • Increase the separation between the equipment and receiver. 
  • Connect the equipment into an outlet on a circuit different from that to which the receiver is connected. 
  • Consult the dealer or an experienced radio/TV technician for help
